Our SALT team consists of approximately 30 attorneys with experience in corporate income, sales/use, gross receipts, excise, property, payroll, and many other taxes. The breadth of our practice is notable for the variety of services we provide:
- Consulting: We advise our clients on the tax implications of their products, services, and transactions, helping them determine sales taxability, corporate reorganization consequences, and efficient tax structures. We also guide our clients on the financial impacts of their tax positions.
- Controversy: We represent our clients in all stages of tax disputes, from audits to appeals, aiming for favorable resolutions. When necessary, we leverage our litigation and appellate experience, significantly impacting the SALT landscape and tax imposition practices.
- Policy: We monitor state and local tax legislation for our clients, alerting them to relevant proposals. We also provide advice and draft legislative and regulatory language to help shape favorable provisions.
