Alex is an Associate in our Financial Services, Disputes and Investigations team.
Alex has over 10 years’ experience in a wide variety of contentious litigation matters acting for both claimants and defendants including contract, tort, fraud and financial services litigation, with a particular focus on retail banking disputes, Section 140A Consumer Credit Act 1974 Unfair Relationship claims, professional negligence claims against solicitors and valuers and pensions disputes. Alex also has a keen interest in the use of ADR in dispute resolution and litigation funding.
His recent experience includes: acting in defence of a global bank in a long running and complex multiparty claim which has been listed by The Lawyer as one of the “Top 20 Cases of 2022”; pensions disputes in relation to historic unequalised pension benefits and rectification claims to correct scheme rules relating to members benefits; and acting for a major high street bank in relation to its defence of mis-selling claims.
He has written articles on the Business Banking Resolution Service, claims management companies and FCA regulatory issues, and is a member of the Association of Pensions Lawyers.
