Rob has particular expertise in the GB electricity market and its regulatory framework, and commodity trading. He advises on a range of energy sector commercial contracts including power purchase agreements (PPAs), energy supply agreements, Renewables Obligation Certificate (ROC) and Renewable Energy Guarantees Origin (REGO) Trading Master Agreements, ISDAs, EFETs (Gas & Power) and Netting Agreements. Rob drafted the industry standard REGO Trading Master Agreement and advised the Association of Decentralised Energy on the establishment of a demand side response Code of Conduct ahead of the launch of a voluntary Code Compliance Scheme for DSR aggregators called "Flex Assure", and sits on the Oversight Committee of the Scheme.
Rob is very familiar with the Contract for Difference, Capacity Market, Feed-in Tariff , Smart Export Guarantee, Renewables Obligation ) and Renewable Heat Incentive schemes.
Rob has been recognised as a ‘Leading Associate’ for Power (including electricity and nuclear) by the Legal 500 2025. He has also been named as a “Rising Star” by The Legal 500, for four years in a row, in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 for Power (including electricity, nuclear and renewables) and as a “real standout” in The Legal 500 2020 for work in Energy. Rob was the winner of Energy UK's Young Energy Professionals Rising Star Award in 2021 and was shortlisted for the "Remember The Name" Award at the Inspiratia Energy & Sustainability Awards 2021.
Rob has also been recognised in Best Lawyers’ as “one to watch” for energy and natural resources law (2023 and 2024). He is a European Energy Centre Accredited Green Energy Consultant Expert Certificate (2019) and Master in Renewable Energy Award (2022) achiever.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Rob worked for the commodities energy (Oil, Gas, Power & Coal) risk desk at a leading investment bank.
Rob is fluent in English and Polish, and has completed a secondment to the Energy Team in Eversheds Sutherland Warsaw office between July and August 2024.
