Eversheds Sutherland appoints senior tax partner to accelerate financial services and private capital strategySeptember 18, 2025 Eversheds Sutherland has further strengthened its tax offering with the appointment of Kevin Cummings as partner in its London office. Kevin joins the firm from McDermott Will & Emery, where he served as Head of UK Tax. His career spans nearly three decades across both the legal and Big Four accounting sectors, including senior roles at Deloitte, BDO, Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner and Allen & Overy. Kevin advises across the full spectrum of domestic and international tax matters, with particular focus on financial services and private capital. His experience includes fund formation, cross-border structuring, capital markets transactions, securitisations, and portfolio-level M&A. He has built long-standing relationships with clients headquartered in the US, UK, Switzerland and Japan, and is recognised in Chambers UK, Europe and Global, as well as Legal 500 UK. Kevin’s appointment supports the firm’s strategic focus on financial services and private capital, enhancing its ability to deliver integrated tax, legal and regulatory solutions across complex, multi-jurisdictional mandates.
