Eversheds Sutherland advised Advanced Medical Solutions - Surgical on the acquisition of Peters Surgical Group

Advanced Medical Solutions (AMS) a world-leading specialist in tissue-healing technologies, has entered into an agreement for the proposed acquisition of Peters Surgical, a leading global provider of specialty medical devices. 

With this acquisition, UK-based AMS strengthens its position as a leading global specialist in tissue repair and skin closure, with a complementary product portfolio.

Headquartered in France, Peters Surgical was founded in 1926 and today employs around 650 people worldwide. The Group sells products in over 90 countries and owns manufacturing facilities in France, Thailand, India and Germany.

The acquisition is realized among the shareholders of Groupe Peters Surgical, with private asset manager Eurazeo at the forefront, it aligns with the development strategy pursued by the AMS group for several years. It will allow the AMS group, which already employs nearly eight hundred staff worldwide, to expand its international presence by developing direct sales channels, distribution networks, and manufacturing sites. The transaction is subject to foreign investment control.
