Eversheds Sutherland advised Advanced Medical Solutions - Surgical on the acquisition of Peters Surgical GroupOur team advised AMS on the Polish aspects of the transactionMarch 21, 2024 Advanced Medical Solutions (AMS) a world-leading specialist in tissue-healing technologies, has entered into an agreement for the proposed acquisition of Peters Surgical, a leading global provider of specialty medical devices. With this acquisition, UK-based AMS strengthens its position as a leading global specialist in tissue repair and skin closure, with a complementary product portfolio. Headquartered in France, Peters Surgical was founded in 1926 and today employs around 650 people worldwide. The Group sells products in over 90 countries and owns manufacturing facilities in France, Thailand, India and Germany. The acquisition is realized among the shareholders of Groupe Peters Surgical, with private asset manager Eurazeo at the forefront, it aligns with the development strategy pursued by the AMS group for several years. It will allow the AMS group, which already employs nearly eight hundred staff worldwide, to expand its international presence by developing direct sales channels, distribution networks, and manufacturing sites. The transaction is subject to foreign investment control. AMS was advised by Eversheds Sutherland France by Alexandre Morel, Celia Mayran and Victor Grillo on corporate/M&A aspects of the project, and Dan Roskis, Thomas Strange, Chloé Lemenne, Patrick Gerry, Anne Sauvebois-Brunel, Mélody Pages Marouani, Margot Lacoste, Gaetan Cordier, Killian Lefevre, Mélanie Dubreuil-Blanchard on other aspects of the transaction. In the UK, AMS was advised by Jason Wurzal, Hannah McAdam and Michael Birchall. Eversheds Sutherland Poland advised AMS on the Polish aspects of the transaction, including due diligence.
