Founded in 1933, with a mission to ‘help people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster, to survive, recover and gain control over their future’, the IRC assisted over 32.9 million people in 2022 alone.

Our strategic partnership consists of financial support and pro bono legal advice, using our time and talents to support their incredible humanitarian work. The IRC’s mission ties closely to our firm’s purpose of helping our clients, our people and our communities to thrive.

The IRC’s mission

The IRC helps people affected by humanitarian crises — including the climate crisis — to survive, recover and rebuild their lives.

The IRC is an organization of around 20,000 people, working across over 40 crisis-affected countries and in over 28 US and European cities. In 2022, the IRC and its partners have reached over 32.9 million people in countries affected by crisis. This work has included:

• building or rehabilitating water supplies serving 3,490,159 people
• providing 8,013,515 primary health care consultations
• admitting 453,344 children and 106,722 pregnant and lactating women to nutrition programs
• providing counseling to 43,814 women survivors of gender-based violence
• supporting 122,390 children in IRC safe spaces and other protection programs
• enrolling 807,853 children and youth in learning programs
