Michael has been a business lawyer at well-reputed corporate law firms for more than twenty-five years and is considered a senior "trusted advisor" by his clients.
Michael is Partner in our Commercial group and focuses on complex corporate and commercial matters for multinational companies, SME and start-ups, many active in the retail and manufacturing sectors. Michael has been practicing law since 1996 and as a corporate and commercial partner at Eversheds Sutherland since 2019.
He provides legal advice to clients across various sectors, with a focus on those in the retail, manufacturing, healthcare, food, and technology industries. In later years, Michael has also been acting inter alia for several gaming clients and last mile delivery companies.
He also acts as an external corporate counsel on a Nordic level for multinational companies. Moreover, Michael sits on the board for several companies.
He has assisted in the transformation of company groups, including converting a retail chain into a franchise chain.
In addition to advising clients, Michael has written publications, including Thomson Reuters Corporate Governance and Directors' Duties in Sweden: Overview for Sweden on several occasions.
Michael wants to build teams that give all members the opportunity to thrive both professionally and personally.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys cooking, theatre, music and a variety of sporting activities, including clay pigeon shooting.
Michael’s recent experience includes:
- advising start-ups, inter alia in the fin-tech sector, concerning capitalization matters and other start-up related issues
- advising several multinational companies within the manufacturing, healthcare, food and technology sector regarding, inter alia, large sale and purchase of highly advanced products and services all of the world
- advising manufacturing companies regarding post Covid-19 related issues such as delivery delays, force majeure clause
