Eversheds Sutherland advises Sun Venture on its £148m acquisition of 120 Moorgate A cross-practice team from Eversheds Sutherland advised on Sun Venture’s £148m acquisition of 120 Moorgate, London. Eversheds Sutherland’s Real Estate, Construction Litigation, Indirect Real Estate and Tax teams worked together advising Sun Venture, a multi-asset firm based in Singapore, on its purchase of the 112,900 sq ft of office, retail and leisure space in the UK capital. 120 Moorgate is a recently developed freehold property located in a prominent position on the corner of Moorgate and South Place in the City of London, let to WeWork, Barclays and Third Space. Sun Venture acquires the site from WeWork Capital Advisors, who initially purchased the site in 2017. Eversheds Sutherland’s team was led by Stewart Womersley, Partner, Indirect Real Estate; and Lee Jackson, Partner, Real Estate. They were supported by a real estate team including Robert Bindless, Legal Director; Ian Owen, Legal Director; Roddy Macdonald Legal Director; a Construction Litigation team including Richard Hartigan, Partner; and Emma Raspin, Senior Associate; an indirect real estate team including Michael Harris, Principal Associate; and Misha Sachania, Associate; and Colin Askew, Partner, Tax.
