Double recognition by WirtschaftsWoche and Brand Eins: Eversheds Sutherland in top rankings for employment and labour as well as corporate lawMay 14, 2021
The German magazine WirtschaftsWoche has once again recognised Eversheds Sutherland. Partners Dr. Werner Brickwedde and Dr. Christian Mense have been listed among Germany's most renowned lawyers for corporate law. Partner Frank Achilles ranks among the top lawyers for employment and labour law. The business magazine Brand Eins also recommends Eversheds Sutherland for these areas in a special edition which was published at the same time. For the WirtschaftsWoche ranking, Handelsblatt Research Institute (HRI) interviewed more than 4,900 lawyers from 270 law firms. The final selection was made by an expert jury of representatives from companies and specialist media including ABB, Knorr-Bremse, Osram, RWE, Telefónica, ThyssenKrupp and ZF Friedrichshafen. According to the jury's assessment, 51 law firms with 90 lawyers stood out for corporate law and 61 law firms with 120 especially recommended lawyers for employment and labour law. For the special issue of Brand Eins, the market research company Statista interviewed more than 2,500 lawyers working for law firms and in-house. In corporate as well as employment and labour law, 61 particularly recommended law firms are highlighted. Eversheds Sutherland's German corporate practice consists of more than 40 lawyers in Berlin, Dusseldorf, Hamburg and Munich. The practice covers the entire spectrum of national and international corporate law and advises on corporate and group law issues, corporate governance and compliance issues, directors' and officers' liability issues, disputes, structural measures and corporate actions as well as reorganisations and restructurings. Around 50 lawyers specialising in employment and labour law advise national and international companies on collective and individual labour law, restructurings and negotiations with trade unions and works councils, corporate pension schemes, working time regulations and employee data protection.
