Conor’s non-contentious practice encompasses advising on sensitive grievance and disciplinary procedures, long-term sickness absence, performance management, and redundancy and restructuring exercises. He also drafts employment contracts for staff at all levels, as well as service agreements for executives and senior managers. Conor also advises on policy review, family-related leave entitlements — including maternity, paternity and parental leave — and routinely handles negotiated exits across all levels of seniority, including the drafting and negotiation of settlement agreements. In addition to this, Conor also regularly assists with queries relating to commercial immigration and employment permits.
Conor maintains a strong contentious practice and regularly acts for clients in complex Workplace Relations Commission proceedings. His experience spans the full litigation lifecycle, from the early stages of a claim through to final hearing, and covers a broad range of matters including unfair dismissal, constructive dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, and unlawful deduction from wages. He is skilled in developing case strategy, preparing witness evidence, and liaising with instructed Counsel.
