Gonçalo Mexia joined Eversheds Sutherland in 2006 and became a Partner in 2019. He works in the Corporate and M&A Department, focusing on agribusiness.
He advises domestic and international clients on complex agribusiness transactions, with a particular focus on the acquisition, disposal and structuring of agricultural and forestry assets. Gonçalo has extensive experience in share deals and asset deals, as well as in negotiating and drafting lease agreements, surface rights and other land use arrangements.
He also advises on the establishment and structuring of joint ventures, strategic partnerships and investment platforms within the agribusiness sector, providing comprehensive legal support throughout the transaction lifecycle, including due diligence, contract negotiation, regulatory matters and post-closing implementation.
