The Eversheds Sutherland team was led by Partner Mohsin Abbasi with support from Trainee Associate Mahmoud Kreidie. Commenting on the issuance, Mohsin said: “we are honoured to have supported Doha Bank on this landmark sustainable finance transaction. The listing of the first sustainable bonds on the Qatar Stock Exchange marks a major step forward in the country’s capital market development and underscores Qatar’s leadership in advancing ESG‑aligned financing in the region. The QAR denominated issuance also reflects Doha Bank’s success in diversifying and strengthening its funding portfolio and its ability to effectively execute transactions despite a tight year-end issuance window. The issuance aligns closely with the national priorities set out in Qatar’s Third Financial Sector Strategy and Qatar National Vision 2030, and we hope it will serve as an important benchmark for other issuers across the GCC seeking to access sustainable financing solutions.” Key contacts
