Prior to Eversheds Sutherland, Katherine was an associate in the investment management group of a law firm in Washington, DC, where she represented investment advisers and registered investment companies. Among other guidance, she provided advice regarding registration statements, compliance policies and procedures, shareholder reports, SEC regulatory filings, marketing materials, and other legal and regulatory matters concerning funds registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940.
During law school, Katherine held multiple internships and clerkships, including as: a legal intern at the Investment Adviser Association, a law clerk for the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, an honors intern in the Division of Corporation Finance at the SEC, and a summer law clerk for the Honorable John Gibney, Jr. in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
