Lorenzo is a Partner in the Corporate Department of the firm’s Milan office.
Lorenzo specializes in Venture Capital and regularly advises investors (venture capital funds, family offices, club deal and business angels) and funders on transactions supporting the growth of start-up and scale-up companies at any stage of their business. His remarkable experience includes:
- start-up incorporation and initial legal documentation
- equity incentive plan and stock option plan
- seed investments and series A-B-C-D rounds
- issuance of bonds and other convertible instruments
- venture debt
- scale-up and business internationalization also through M&A transactions
- IPO and business combinations with SPACs.
Lorenzo’s practice mainly focuses on innovative and tech businesses including pharmaceutical sector, new space economy, saas business and e-commerce.
Lorenzo served as a consultant of the Ministry of Justice in a structural reform project supported by the European Commission for strengthening data collection and use of new technologies in enforcement and bankruptcy proceedings before the Italian Courts. Lorenzo has also served as an independent director for an investment management company (SGR).
Lorenzo graduated from the University of Pavia and holds an LL.M. degree in capital markets. Before joining Eversheds-Sutherland, he practiced for almost 20 years in leading international law firms. Lorenzo is qualified to practice before the Italian Supreme Court.
