Advising Johnson Matthey on completion of the sale of its Catalyst Technologies business to HoneywellJuly 24, 2026 Eversheds Sutherland has successfully advised Johnson Matthey plc (JM) on the German law aspects of the completion of the sale of its Catalyst Technologies business to Honeywell International Inc. for an enterprise value of GBP 1.325 billion. Catalyst Technologies is a global provider of catalysts and process technologies that enable decarbonisation of the chemical and energy industries and the production of essential chemicals and sustainable fuels. The transaction represents a significant milestone for JM as it transforms into a focused, lean and cash generative group, underpinned by world-leading Platinum Group Metal expertise. The Eversheds Sutherland team advised on the German law aspects of the completion of the transaction and was co-led by Dr. Christian Mense (Partner, Corporate/M&A, Munich) and Dr. Martin Sanftleben (Counsel, Corporate/M&A, Munich).
