EVERSHEDS SUTHERLAND GROWS INTERNATIONAL AVIATION TEAM WITH APPOINTMENT OF AARON MCGARRY

Global top 15 law firm, Eversheds Sutherland has appointed Aaron McGarry as a Consultant in the firm’s international aviation team based in Dublin.

Ireland is at the core of the aviation industry in Europe – it is recognised globally as a centre of excellence for the industry and many of the leading global aircraft lessors are now located here. The industry also makes a significant positive contribution to our economy.

This addition to Eversheds Sutherland’s team enables the firm to meet the aviation sector’s growing demand for legal services and demonstrates its commitment to its aviation sector clients.

About Aaron McGarry 
 
Aaron has over 15 years’ experience gained at Irish and international law firms.
 
Aaron has acted for banks, lessors and investors on a broad range of domestic and international asset financing transactions, involving commercial fixed-wing aircraft and rotary aircraft, in relation to loan facilities, revolving credit facilities and pre-delivery payment facilities, amongst others. In addition, he has advised on a number of aviation ABS structures (a number of which also listed notes on the Irish stock exchange) and on all aspects of the Cape Town Convention.
 
In addition, Aaron has acted for investment funds, corporates, trustees, and banks on a number of derivative transactions and bond issuances, particularly regarding regulatory compliance, drafting and negotiating ISDA Master Agreements and with respect to trustees’ roles and responsibilities in transactions.
 
Aaron has lectured on the Law Society of Ireland’s diploma courses with respect to derivatives for a number of years.
