Eversheds Sutherland Poland has successfully advised mBank S.A. on the refinancing of a portfolio comprising four 'Karuzela' retail parks, situated in Września, Lubliniec, Turek, and Wodzisław. The total value of the financing exceeded EUR 40 mln.

The Karuzela shopping centres are owned by Karuzela Holding and the funds managed by MITISKA REIM.

The Eversheds Sutherland team provided comprehensive support to mBank S.A., including drafting and finalising finance documents as well as preparing due diligence of the refinanced properties.

The Banking & Finance team was led by Mateusz Dereszyński (Partner, Banking&Finance), supported by Rafał Piasecki (Lawyer, Banking&Finance) and Adrian Ziółkowski (Of Counsel, Banking&Finance). The due diligence was prepared by Grzegorz Witczymiszyn (Associate, Real Estate) and Michał Smolny, leading the real estate practice.

Mitiska REIM/ Karuzela Holding were represented by A&O Shearman, while CMS advised to the existing lender (mLeasing).

Karuzela Holding is a company specializing in retail property investments across Poland, focusing on the construction of retail parks and small shopping galleries in cities with populations of 20,000 to 60,000 inhabitants.

Mitiska REIM, based in Belgium, is a leading European investor specializing in convenience real estate, including retail parks, industrial facilities, self-service warehouses, and city logistics projects.
