Eversheds Sutherland Continues Litigation Growth with Addition of Securities Enforcement Partner Ellen Connell

Based in the Washington, DC office, Ms. Connell’s arrival deepens the firm’s securities enforcement and global investigations bench and underscores its continued investment in sophisticated, high‑demand litigation matters. 

Ms. Connell represents regulated entities and individuals in investigations and enforcement proceedings before the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Department of Justice (DOJ), Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), FINRA, and state attorneys general, with particular experience advising broker‑dealers and investment advisers.

Ms. Connell has represented clients in some of the most significant investigations impacting the securities industry. In addition to securities enforcement, her practice also complements the firm’s expanding Corporate Crimes and Investigations offering, which supports clients navigating multijurisdictional enforcement and compliance challenges.

Ms. Connell’s addition builds on the firm’s recent litigation momentum, including the arrival of Peter Meier, a seasoned trial lawyer who joined the firm’s Silicon Valley office earlier this year as part of Eversheds Sutherland’s continued expansion of its US litigation platform. Along with 16 other attorneys in the past seven months, these hires underscore the firm’s commitment to growing its bench in sophisticated, high-stakes disputes and regulatory matters with preeminent practitioners.
