Julia is a Counsel in the Labor and Employment Law practice group in our Munich office.
She works in the area of Industrial Relations. Julia provides advice in all areas of labor and employment law. Her activity focuses on all matters related to works constitution and collective bargaining law.
Julia advises companies on labor and employment law issues in the context of corporate acquisitions. She provides advice within the framework of restructuring processes, transfers of business, and entering into and changing collective bargaining commitments. And, Julia represents employers in business conflicts with works councils. She has a particular focus on advising employers on works council elections. Julia also represents companies before German labor courts, particularly in unfair dismissal proceedings.
She conducts in-house workshops and trainings on labor and employment law matters.
During her legal traineeship in the district of Dusseldorf Higher Regional Court, she worked for a major international law firm in Dusseldorf in the area of employment and labor law and for the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy in Berlin. Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, Julia worked for a boutique law firm in Frankfurt/Main, Germany.

- Successful representation in the contestation of a works council election for a leading company in the automotive supply industry
- ongoing legal advice and litigation for a global media company, particularly within the framework of restructuring measures with staff reductions as well as negotiations of reconciliations of interests and social plans in the context of a mass dismissal
- advice to a company in the food industry regarding all works constitution and collective bargaining law issues, in particular regarding leaving an employer association
- advice regarding the integration of a Germany-wide business division of a leading automotive supplier
- provision of in-house labor and employment law trainings to a leading global mobility and transport technology company
- in-house training on works council elections for a leading company in the German fast food industry
