SEC Will Let Managers 'Innovate' in Retail Alts: Investment Mgmt Director

Partner Cynthia Krus is quoted about SEC Division of Investment Management Director Brian Daly’s remarks at an American Bar Association event where he provided insight into his division’s forthcoming agenda, including for private capital markets regulation. Cynthia said his comments will likely give alternative asset managers more assurance that the regulator is open to hearing their thoughts about expanding private markets access.

"Having the ability to potentially talk to the staff or the director about how your program works is really important. That gives everybody more assurance on how to move forward," she said.
