Ben’s practice spans numerous sectors including energy and infrastructure, built environment and regeneration, industrials, utilities, and consumer.
He advises employers, project sponsors, developers, contractors and funders, advising on procurement strategies and the drafting and negotiation of the contractual documentation for construction projects. He has extensive knowledge and experience in the use of standard form construction contracts such as FIDIC, IChemE, NEC, LOGIC and JCT as well as bespoke EPC forms.
Ben also advises clients on pre contract services agreements, professional services contracts, framework agreements, supply contracts, performance securities and ancillary documents.

Ben has acted on a number of major transactions for both private and public sector clients, including:
- advising for the procuring authority on the contracts for their c.£10bn project to construct of one of the largest and longest road tunnels in the UK
- advising the supplier on a c.2.5bn Euro contract for the supply and installation of subsea power cables for an interconnector project
- acting for the developer in relation to the £333m development of an international exhibition and conference centre and associated buildings (such as hotels and energy centre) acting for funders, sponsors and developers of numerous on-shore windfarms with capacities from 50MW to 1GW
- advising the procuring authority in relation it its £70bn nuclear waste disposal programme
