Michał Smolny is the new Head of Real Estate at Eversheds Sutherland Poland

On 2 January, 2023, Michal Smolny joined the Polish office of Eversheds Sutherland as Partner heading the Real Estate practice, which was previously part of the Real Estate and Infrastructure Projects practice led by Krzysztof Wierzbowski.

Michał specializes in real estate, construction and renewable energy law. He also deals with projects related to financing, infrastructure and joint ventures / M&A. He has nearly 20 years of experience in legal advisory for business. Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, he worked for international law firms.

Michał supports clients in joint venture and development transactions with leading Polish and international developers. He advises on the acquisition, construction, lease and sale of warehouse, office, retail and housing properties (hotels, dormitories, serviced senior housing / nursing homes, Private Rented Sector housing). He advises funds investing in real estate in Poland. He has participated in pioneering PPP projects for the construction / financing of dormitories and a private hospital in Poland. He worked on dozens of real estate acquisitions and development transactions.

According to the firm's newly adopted organizational structure, Krzysztof Wierzbowski will remain Head of Infrastructure Projects Practice. The two partners will work closely together, since the scopes of their practices do overlap.
