Eversheds Sutherland has advised Homes England, the government's housing and regeneration agency, on a £250 million master developer joint venture with Oaktree Capital Management and Greycoat Real Estate. The partnership will target large or complex sites with the potential to deliver more than 1,000 homes each and will leverage the investors’ expertise, resources and knowledge and demonstrate the opportunity for new investment into an under-served part of the UK residential market. Kuljeet Gill, Partner, led the Eversheds Sutherland cross practice team and was supported by Dave Newstone, Legal Director and Nathan Lucas, Principal Associate. Further assistance was provided by Partners Elizabeth Marshall, Claire Morgan (both competition) and Colin Askew (tax), Legal Director Nicolette Sanders (governments and infrastructure) and Associate Iulian Bajko (competition). The global law firm has been a part of Homes England’s legal services panel since its formation in 2018. Mukhtiar Tanda, Client Partner for Homes England and Head of Eversheds Sutherland’s Governments & Infrastructure Sector, commented: “Homes England is a key client within our Governments & Infrastructure Group with whom we have built an in-depth relationship over the years. We are delighted to have deployed our extensive knowledge and experience in advising on joint venture structures to Homes England to support it in its key objective of increasing housing supply in England.” Kuljeet Gill, Eversheds Sutherland, commented: “This was a notable deal which brings together an exciting and wide range of experience across the investment and housing industry. We’re thrilled to have been on Homes England’s team in the formation of this partnership – one which will be integral to helping to ensure the success of various housing and regeneration projects across the UK.” Naujausios publikacijos
