It was a genuine pleasure to draw on our transatlantic legal capabilities to effectively navigate this complex, international transaction and we look forward to providing further support on future opportunities.” Naudé de Klerk, General Counsel & Country Manager, Ireland, Azurity Pharmaceuticals, commented: “This acquisition was an important next step for Azurity in achieving its strategic growth plan, including new opportunities to bring its medicines to ex-US markets. Consequently, we required a legal team with a profound understanding of our business, notable commercial acumen, a global presence and the technical legal excellence necessary to guide us highly complex deal. The Eversheds Sutherland team provided an exceptional service throughout.” Hanok George, Chief Legal, Compliance & HR Officer, USA, Azurity Pharmaceuticals, commented: “During my almost seven-years at Azurity, I have witnessed it grow from an early-stage, limited-product, US-only company to the global leader in branded pharmaceuticals focused on orphan, rare, and niche populations it has become today. Fuelled by our shared purpose of “Serving Overlooked Patients”, Azurity’s acquisition of Covis enhances its global commercial footprint to over 50 countries, with a product portfolio that includes more than 50 life-changing treatments, across ten complex dosage forms, and nine key therapeutic areas. As we look to bring these medicines and many more in our pipeline to patients across the globe, we rely on partners like Eversheds Sutherland, who with their global scale and business-centric legal expertise have guided us in this key transaction. We look forward to working with them again on the next opportunity.” Naujausios publikacijos
