on its acquisition of Lipomed AG’s Reference Standards business

We are delighted to have advised LGC Group on the acquisition of Lipomed AG’s Reference Standards Business on all legal and tax aspects of this complex cross-border transaction.

LGC is a leading global life science tools company, providing mission-critical components and solutions into high-growth application areas across the human healthcare and applied market segments. Lipomed is a leading manufacturer and supplier of analytical reference standards with ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation for testing and ISO 17034 accreditation for production of reference materials. The Reference Standards Business is currently carried via manufacturing operations in Switzerland and a sales and distribution base in Cambridge, MA, USA.

LGC acquired the Reference Standards Business from Lipomed, adding to its portfolio a wide range of innovative products marketed and distributed in more than 50 countries around the world.

The Eversheds Sutherland team was led by Marc Nufer (Partner M&A Switzerland) and included Thomas Roullet (Associate M&A Switzerland), Andrea Baetscher (Partner Tax Switzerland), Sabine Hausenstein (Corporate Housekeeping Switzerland), Robert E.
